Stay with us at a chicken farm

Located in Bandera County the "Cowboy Capital of the world". We offer a Higher level of comfort with adding a level of security by having a gated, high security video recorded grounds.  No one is on the property without being screened by the owners. We reserve the right to deny anyone on our property.  The Roost is an active Chicken Farm with over 100 chickens. Bring crappy shoes to walk inside the coop if you like, or don't complain that you stepped in chicken poop with your good shoes. Come feed, and maybe hold a chicken. DON'T CHASE CHICKENS, They have a calm lifestyle and we want to continue to allow them to have a stress free life. We often play classical music for them. Dogs are allowed but keep them on a leash and in the front of the property, $30 fee small dog and $50 large.  Medina Lake is a reservoir, click for lakes level.  The Roost is on a cove to  Lake Medina and currently a 1.3 mile walk to a jumping spot and fishing.  When the lake is at 60% The Roost has water to the property and easy to launch a kayak or boat 2 men can pick up.  Launching boat, and jet skis is best at the state park click here for locations and prices.
